KLM cityhopper (WA, Amsterdam Schiphol) has placed an order for seven additional EMB-170s in addition to its ten firm orders and nine options for the Brazilian regional aircraft. This would allow KLM cityhopper to retire its Fokker 50 and Fokker 100 fleets in 2010 when it would operate Fokker 70s and Embraers only. It has sold 15 Fokker 100s to Evsen Group, the parent of Eagle Aviation (France) (EGN/St. Nazaire) that is planning to use the aircraft for a new start-up carrier in the Middle East. KLM cityhopper has already parked the first 6 of its 20 Fokker 100.
