Azman Air (AZM, Kano) has returned its only widebody aircraft to Egypt's Air Leisure (Cairo International) having failed to deploy it into service since it was delivered in October 2017.

According to Skyliner Aviation, A330-200 SU-ALC (msn 392) was ferried from Kano to Cairo International on March 22.

The Nigerian carrier had intended to use the twinjet to open up longhaul services from Kano to each of Jeddah International (Saudi Arabia), Dubai International (United Arab Emirates), and points in China.

Azman Air was not immediately available for comment.

As it stands, Azman Air operates two B737-300s and two B737-400s on routes covering the Nigerian cities of Abuja, Birmin Kebbi, Gombe, Kaduna, Kano, Lagos, Maiduguri, Sokoto, and Yola.
