Hong Kong Airlines (HX, Hong Kong International) has announced it will resume scheduled passenger services to Europe later this quarter.

In a statement, the Hainan Airlines (HU, Haikou) unit said it would run a 3x weekly Hong Kong International-Moscow Vnukovo, Russia, service using A330-300 equipment. The flights will run from May 18 until October 27 and are in support of the upcoming 2018 World Cup.

Hong Kong Airlines also operates regular longhaul passenger flights to Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the United States. According to a company briefing issued in early 2017, among the year-round European destinations it is considering serving include Milan Malpensa, Paris, and London.
