Air Transat (TS, Montréal Trudeau) has taken delivery of its first A321-200 following the handing over of C-GEZD (msn 4099) on a ten-year lease from AviaAM Leasing. According to the Polish lessor, the former Aeroflot (SU, Moscow Sheremetyevo) jet recently completed a pre-EIS C-check.

The aircraft is one of two the Canadian leisure specialist signed for during the first quarter of the current calendar year. ch-aviation analysis of schedule data shows the aircraft is due to be deployed int service from late May/early June onwards on flights from Montréal Trudeau to and Cancún (some flights operating via Québec), Cayo Coco, Cayo Largo del Sur, Fort Lauderdale International, and Montego Bay internationally.

In Spring 2019, Air Transat is provisionally scheduled to take delivery of its first of ten leased A321neo(LR)s. These Airbus narrowbodies will gradually replace the carrier's outgoing fleet of A310-300s.
