Widerøe (WF, Bodø) is considering converting some of its twelve options for Embraer E2 Family regional jets, CEO Stein Nilsen said during the delivery flight of the world's first E190-E2 on April 12, as reported by Reuters.
The Norwegian regional specialist, the maiden operator of the Embraer's new generation regional jet, has two more EMB-190 E2s on firm order, besides twelve options.
"We will work extremely hard to ensure that we can receive the remaining 12," Nilsen said, adding that some of the conversions can be for the smaller E175-E2 type.
The maiden EMB-190 E2 is the first jet in Wideroe's fleet, which to date consisted solely of Bombardier Aerospace turboprops. According to the ch-aviation fleets module, the Norwegian carrier currently operates twenty-two Dash 8-100s, three Dash 8-200s, six Dash 8-300s, and eleven Dash 8-400s.
