CityJet (WX, Dublin International) will be the surviving brand following the merger of Air France (AF/Paris CDG) subsidiary Cityjet and VLM (VG/Antwerp). The two carriers will start operating under the Cityjet brand on January 1, 2010 but will continue to operate under two different air operator certificates for the time being. Several new routes have been launched or announced by the two carriers: Antwerp-Frankfurt Intl: 3x daily Fokker 50 service has started on May 5 London City-Nantes: 2x daily ARJ-85/Fokker 50 service has started on April 27 VLM will give up its London City-Manchester route on June 5. Cityjet has already terminated its London City-Geneva and Geneva-Nice services on behalf of Air France on April 19.
