Oman Air (WY, Muscat) Chief Executive Abdulaziz al-Raisi has confirmed the carrier's intention to retire its four E175s later this year.

According to the ch-aviation schedules module, the Embraer Regional Jets are currently used on domestic Omani flights as well as regional services to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, and Iran.

During the same interview with Reuters, al-Raisi reaffirmed the carrier's plans to place a new widebody order with the A350 and B787 being the contenders. The new jets will be used to replace Oman Air's current fleet of four A330-200s and six A330-300s before 2023.
