Berry Aviation (BYA, San Marcos) has broken ground on a new maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility covering 2,900 square metres at San Marcos, TX, worth USD2.7 million.

The project is scheduled to be completed in Autumn 2018.

The new facility will house Berry Aviation’s maintenance and supply-chain headquarters, and will include a 1,860 square metres maintenance hangar, machine shop, non-destructive testing lab, parts retrieval system, and more than 930 square metres of office space.

The carrier has secured a 40-year-long lease for the ground at the airport.

According to the ch-aviation fleets module, Berry Aviation is currently operating a fleet of nineteen aircraft, including five DHC-6-300s, five Dash 8-200s, and nine E120s, including four in a full-freighter variant. It also operates two Do328-100s and three Metroliners.
