Ethiopian Airlines (ET, Addis Ababa International) has signed a firm order agreement with Bombardier Aerospace (BBA, Montréal Trudeau) for ten Dash 8-400s with purchase rights for a further five of the type. No delivery details we specified in the associated press release.
Ethiopian currently operates seventeen Q400s at its mainline unit with one more in service for Malawi Airlines, and four in service for ASKY Airlines.
According to the Canadians, Ethiopian has a further three Q400s due for delivery.
