Bangkok Airways (PG, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi) President Puttipong Prasattong-Osoth has confirmed the Thai boutique carrier will shortly issue a Request For Proposals (RFP) to Airbus, Boeing, and Bombardier Aerospace for an order for twenty narrowbody aircraft.

Speaking to The National newspaper, Puttipong said Bangkok Airways would settle on a single manufacturer for an order to be placed by the end of the year.

Bangkok Airways currently operates a total of 38 aircraft including fourteen A319-100s, nine A320-200s, six ATR72-500s, and nine ATR72-600s. It currently serves 30 destinations across 11 countries including Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Myanmar, Cambodia, India, Singapore, Laos, the Maldives, Malaysia, and China.
