GoAir (Mumbai International) and its ex-Chief Executive Officer Wolfgang Prock-Schauer have rejected an out-of-court settlement of the case in which the carrier accuses its former head of stealing confidential information, Live Mint has reported.

The first session of the trial is scheduled for July 17 in Mumbai.

The carrier first filed a lawsuit in court on April 27, 2018, alleging that Prock-Schauer has been stealing GoAir's confidential information during the transition period between leaving the carrier and joining its local LCC rival, IndiGo Airlines as its Chief Operating Officer. Although the executive who led GoAir between June 2015 and the end of 2017 denies the allegations, the parties entered into settlement negotiations at that time.

"When we were in talks for settlement, at the same time the forensic due diligence was still going on, we found out that the former chief executive has taken away several other confidential information which we were not aware of earlier," GoAir senior counsel Darius Khambata has told the court.

Prior to joining GoAir, Prock-Schauer served as an executive for a number of other carriers, including Air Berlin (1991), Jet Airways, Austrian Airlines, and bmi british midland.
