Qatar Airways (QR, Doha Hamad International) has finalised an order with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) for five B777-Fs. The agreement, which was announced during the 2018 Farnborough International Airshow, follows on from a commitment announced in April this year.

Qatar Airways' cargo fleet currently consists of eight A330-200Fs, thirteen B777(F)s, and two B747-8(F)s. With this order, Qatar Airways' B777 freighter fleet order book extends to eight aircraft. As previously reported, the Qatari carrier is in the process of scaling back its Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) freighter fleet operations given changing global cargo market dynamics.
