Joon (France) (Paris CDG) will take over the Paris CDG-St. Maarten route from its parent Air France (AF, Paris CDG) on August 4, 2018, Routesonline has reported.

According to the ch-aviation schedules module, the low-cost unit of Air France-KLM will operate the service 2x weekly using A340-300 equipment. Currently, the route is operated with the same frequency but with smaller A330-200 aircraft.

Air France is tentatively due to resume own services to St. Maarten on October 28, 2018, at which point Joon will terminate its flights. During the Winter 2018/19 season, the French flag carrier plans to serve the Caribbean island up to 5x weekly.

Joon, which currently operates a fleet of seven A320-200s, four A321-200s, and four A340-300s, flies on behalf of its parent to 14 destinations, including six mid- and long-haul: Cairo International, Cape Town International, Fortaleza International, Mahé, Mumbai International, and Tehran Imam Khomeini.

Air France's group partner KLM Royal Dutch Airlines operates two flights weekly from its hub at Amsterdam Schiphol to St. Maarten via Curacao.
