Qatar Executive (QQE, Doha International) has confirmed during the 2018 Farnborough Air Show that it will receive the world's first Gulfstream Aerospace (GLF, Savannah International) G500 by the end of 2018. The business charter unit of Qatar Airways plans to add a total of twenty-five new aircraft by 2022.

Out of the total of twenty-five, the carrier intends to take eight by the end of 2019.

The business charter specialist will also open new offices in Shanghai and Moscow shortly.

The G500, a member of the Gulfstream Aerospace VII family, is a new type unrelated to the Gulfstream V also marketed as G500. It has been developed as a replacement for the Gulfstream IV G450. The new G500 received type and production certificates from the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in July 2018.

The G500 has a certified maximum range of 5,200 nm (9,630 km) and a takeoff distance of 5,200 ft (1,585 m).

Qatar Executive currently deploys four GVI-G650ERs, six Bombardier Aerospace Global Express, and three Challenger 605 aircraft.
