Proflight Zambia (P0, Lusaka) has wet-leased a B737-500 from South African ACMI/charter specialist, Africa Charter Airline (FSK, Johannesburg O.R. Tambo).

ZS-PKV (msn 25418) was positioned to Lusaka earlier this week and has since been deployed on the Zambian carrier's flights from Lusaka to each of Livingstone and Ndola International domestically as well as Durban King Shaka in South Africa.

“We feel compelled to add a bigger aircraft to our fleet to meet the high demand on our domestic routes, specifically Lusaka-Ndola,” Proflight Director of Government and Industry Affairs, Philip Lemba, said in a statement.

Proflight currently operates three Jetstream 41s, one CRJ100, and two Cessna (single turboprop) Grand Caravan 208Bs on scheduled passenger flights throughout Zambia as well as to Harare International, Lilongwe, and Durban regionally. It is also in the process of acquiring a maiden 50-seater Dash 8-300 from Bombardier Aerospace (BBA, Montréal Trudeau).
