Med-View Airline (Kano) has announced it will add a pair of Bombardier Aerospace Regional Jets to its fleet by the end of this month. A Lagos Stock Exchange filing said only that the two aircraft, CRJ900s, had been secured on lease-purchase from an unspecified third party. They will be deployed on thinner domestic and regional African routes.

Med-View currently operates a fleet of two B737-400s on domestic Nigerian and regional West African services as well as one B777-200(ER) used for Hajj services. Its single B737-500 and one B767-300(ER) are in maintenance and are expected back in the coming weeks.

The carrier has also announced that it is planning to acquire land at Lagos Murtala Muhammed International Airport for use in building its own MRO hangar as well as a pilot training school.
