DAT - Danish Air Transport (Kolding) is set to acquire its first ATR72-600s following the signing of 12-year lease agreements with Avation.

According to the Danish carrier's President and Chief Executive Officer, Jesper Rungholm, the ATR - Avions de Transport Régional turboprops will deliver in September and October this year in time for deployment into domestic Danish service in November. DAT currently uses three ATR72-200s to connect Rønne with each of Aalborg, Karup (via Copenhagen Kastrup), and Esbjerg (via Billund) under the Bornholmerflyet virtual carrier brand.

DAT also operates one ATR42-300, one -(QC), one -500, one ATR72-500 (wet-leased to Air Nostrum), one E120 (wet-leased from Budapest Aircraft Services), one MD-82 (wet-leased to SAS Scandinavian Airlines), and one MD-83.
