Norwegian Group has placed the first B737-8s on its Norwegian (Oslo Gardermoen) unit's AOC, ch-aviation research has revealed.

Last week, the Nordic low-cost carrier took delivery of LN-BKA (msn 42832) and LN-BKB (msn 42833) direct from Boeing (BOE, Washington National). Until now, its in-house fleet has consisted of fifty-two B737-800s, eight B787-8s, and nine B787-9s. The Group's eight delivered B737 MAX 8s have thus far been placed exclusively with its Norwegian Air International (Dublin International) unit.

According to its 2Q18 projections, Norwegian Group expects to add a total of twelve B737 MAX 8s this year.
