Lion Air Group will lease eight A330neo aircraft from BOC Aviation. According to the lessor, the aircraft are sourced from its Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) order book and are scheduled for delivery in 2019 and 2020.

As part of the deal, the Indonesian firm will have the option of acquiring four of the aircraft at delivery.

Lion Air (JT, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta) currently operates three A330-300s on Hajj charter flights as well as on ACMI contracts for flynas (XY, Riyadh). Earlier this year, CAPA reported Thai Lion Air (SL, Bangkok Don Mueang) would take delivery four A330-900s in 2019.
