The Nigeria Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) has closed Warri Osubi Airport to all commercial traffic as of Monday, September 3.

Arik Air (W3, Lagos), which connects the southern Nigerian airfield with Lagos (14x weekly) and Abuja (6x weekly), said in a statement that NAMA had withdrawn Air Traffic Services (ATC) from Warri until further notice. As such, Arik Air has now transferred all Warri-bound flights to Benin City, located 84 kilometres away.

Warri's only other operator, Aero Contractors (N2, Lagos), has yet to announce its own Warri contingency plans.
