VistaJet (Malta) (VJT, Malta International) chairman Thomas Flohr has announced the formation of Vista Global Holding, an aviation group which is based at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and which will house VistaJet, Vista Lease (a global aircraft leasing and financing company for client-dedicated aircraft solutions), and TechX (an aviation technology firm offering end-to-end solutions for both customers and operators).

In a statement, Flohr said the Vista Global initiative had been backed by a USD200 million investment from global private equity firm Rhône Group.

"Vista Global has been my vision ever since I started VistaJet in 2004," Flohr said. "I wanted to create something truly new, something that would industrialize and consolidate the fragmented business aviation market across the entire range of flight service offerings. It is an historic moment for aviation and is the first of its kind."

Vista Lease will start operations in 2019. It will hold several options for Bombardier Aerospace Global 7500 aircraft and will have the resources to act as principal buyer in the pre-owned segment and then offer its inventory for lease directly to customers seeking a dedicated aircraft solution.

TechX will focus on the creation of end-to-end services to allow companies to find customers, manage bookings, track flights and plan trips directly with operators, all on one platform. Furthermore, it will also provide its partners with technology and data science to deliver a personalized service to their customers. TechX's addressable market is all 40,000 fixed- and rotary-winged business aircraft in use around the globe.

Vista Global plans to expand its fleet within the next 3 years, further strengthening its current global coverage and infrastructure to serve every customer's needs around the globe.
