Air Peace (P4, Lagos) has received authorisation from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to conduct charter and cargo operations in addition to its scheduled passenger flights, Peoples Daily has reported.
The NCAA added the new authorisations to the carrier's Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) following a review of its operations for several months.
Air Peace currently operates eight B737-300s, five B737-500s, one Do328-300, and three E145s on a mostly domestic network in Nigeria, with the sole international route connecting Accra and Lagos. The carrier has recently taken delivery of one B777-200(ER) and one B777-300, although neither of the Boeing widebodies has been introduced into active service yet. Air Peace also plans to add a further three ERJ-145s and has recently ordered ten B737-8s.
