Embraer (EMB, São José dos Campos) and Boeing (BOE, Washington National) have launched a new website Voando Juntas (Flying Together), promoting the expected benefits of their proposed joint venture.

The website includes information about the existing partnerships and collaboration, as well as the forecasted benefits of a merger.

The two companies announced their intention to establish a joint venture on July 5, 2018, pending the approval of all necessary authorities, including the Brazilian government, which holds a veto right over strategic decisions taken by Embraer.

The joint venture would only include Embraer's commercial unit. Boeing would hold an 80% stake with the remaining 20% owned by the Brazilian manufacturer.

The proposed merger of the companies is one of the hot topics in the ongoing Brazilian presidential campaign, with a number of candidates pledging to oppose the deal.
