JOTA Aviation (London Southend) has announced it will commence dedicated freighter operations this week using its fleet of four ex-ASL Airlines Spain BAe 146-300(QT)s.

In a statement, the UK-based carrier said the quartet of aircraft would be proferred to the long-term ACMI and ad-hoc charter market.

“We look forward to entering this exciting new phase for Jota Aviation," Jota Aviation CEO, Andy Green, said. "We have spent the past few months ensuring that we have the experienced crew and infrastructure to support Jota Cargo and now look forward to putting these plans into action.”

Prior to this, Jota Aviation had specialized in passenger ACMI/charter operations exclusively using a fleet of one ARJ-100 (in service for HOP! (France)), one ARJ-85, and one BAe 146-200.
