NetJets Aviation (EJA, Columbus John Glenn, OH) has signed an agreement with Textron Aviation (Wichita Cessna Aircraft Field) wherein it would add up to 325 new Cessna Aircraft Company Citation business jets over the next 10 to 15 years. The order includes the Hemisphere type, of which NetJets will become the global launch customer.

The tentative order includes options to take up to 175 Cessna Citation Longitudes and up to 150 clean-sheet designed Cessna Citation Hemispheres. The deliveries are due to commence in the second half of 2019 and to continue well into the 2030s.

"The Longitude fleet will build on the success NetJets has enjoyed with the Cessna 680A midsize jet. Through its class-leading performance, operating efficiency and the quietest cabin experience in its category, the Citation Longitude redefines the super-midsize segment. The Citation Hemisphere will follow with its revolutionary approach to performance and the large cabin experience," Textron Inc. Chairman, President and CEO Scott Donnelly said.

To date, NetJets operates a fleet of seventy-five Citation Latitudes and expects to have 100 in service by mid-2019. The fractional ownership company also operates Citation Excel/XLS, Citation Sovereign, and Citation X types. NetJets' fleet overall includes nearly 700 aircraft and also encompasses E505, Challenger 350, Falcon 2000, Falcon 2000EX, Challenger 650, Gulfstream IV, and Global Express aircraft.
