Air Canada (AC, Montréal Trudeau) sold twenty-five E190s to BeauTech Power Systems in a transaction facilitated by SkyWorks Leasing ahead of the planned phase-out of the type in 2020.

"Air Canada is gradually phasing out the type and the aircraft were leased back on short-term leases. The first aircraft were redelivered in September 2018 and the last will be retired in June 2020," SkyWorks said in a statement.

According to the ch-aviation fleets module, Air Canada currently continues to operate twenty EMB-190s, all of them currently dry-leased from Nordic Aviation Capital. A further ten units previously operated by the Canadian flag carrier are currently stored. Five of these inactive units are already owned by BeauTech.

Air Canada plans to replace the Embraer regional jets with the incoming A220-300s, of which it has forty-five on order with Airbus.
