Qatar Airways (QR, Doha Hamad International) has launched its maiden transpacific freighter route, connecting Macau International with each of Los Angeles International and México City International.
Macao itself is also a new destination for the Qatari carrier's dedicated cargo unit. Qatar Airways Cargo already operates freighter services to Guangzhou, Shanghai Pudong, and Hong Kong International in Greater China.
Flights to from Doha Hamad International to Macao will operate 2x weekly onboard B777-F aircraft. The Boeing freighter will then continue to Los Angeles and Mexico City and then onwards to Liège before returning to Doha.
According to the ch-aviation capacity module, Qatar Airways Cargo currently offers services to both Los Angeles and Mexico City over the Atlantic only, operating from Doha via either Luxembourg, Zaragoza, or Liege.
