Arik Air (W3, Lagos) Warri Osubi Airport, in southern Nigeria, has reopened to commercial passenger traffic after being closed by the Nigeria Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) for a period of seven weeks back in early September.

According to Arik Air, scheduled flights to Warri resumed on Friday, October 26 with a double-daily service to Lagos and a daily service to Abuja. Fellow operator Aero Contractors (N2, Lagos) is expected to follow suit.

The local ThisDay newspaper reports Warri airport was closed on September 3, 2018 after NAMA withdrew its navigational services due to debts of over NGN500 million naira (USD1.38 million) owed to it by the airport's operator, Shoreline Energy International.
