Fly SAX (Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta) has taken delivery of its first Beech 1900D following the arrival of N105EV (msn UE-64) at Nairobi Wilson on October 27.
The 25-year-old twinprop is owned by Sentry Aircraft Leasing 8 LLC and, according to Skyliner Aviation, was ferried to East Africa from Oklahoma City Wiley Post via each of Fort Wayne International, Bangor, Gander, Reykjavik Keflavik, Rotterdam, Kerkyra, Luxor, and Khartoum.
A unit of Fly540, Fly SAX also operates one CRJ100, two DC-9-10s (stored), one Dash 8-100, one Dash 8-300, and one Fokker 28-4000 (stored), Cessna (single turboprop) 208B Grand Caravans, and one Beech 1900C on scheduled and chartered flights throughout Kenya as well as to the Comoros, Uganda, and Somalia.
