IndiGo Airlines (6E, Delhi International) has delayed the launch of the maiden international service from Vijayawada in eastern India, to Singapore Changi, PTI newswire has reported. Previously planned to debut on October 25, the flights are now not expected to commence before December.

The Indian LCC said it was yet to finalise the details of its schedule between Vijayawada and Singapore.

Flights are due to operate 2x weekly onboard A320-200 equipment.

According to the ch-aviation capacity module, IndiGo Airlines already has a base at Vijayawada and is the largest operator there with a 38.3% market share by capacity. The LCC connects the city with each of Hyderabad International, Bangalore International, Chennai, and Delhi International. Vijayawada also sees domestic services from Air India, Air India Express, SpiceJet, and Alliance Air (India).
