BA CityFlyer (CJ, London City) will wet-lease two E190s from Stobart Air (Dublin International) on three-year contracts to cover growth out of its London City base starting later this winter season.
In a statement, the Irish ACMI/charter specialist said it had secured the two Embraer Regional Jets on a three-year lease contract from Nordic Aviation Capital.
“As a regional partner to leading airlines, we constantly review our business operations and our network to position us for opportunities with key partners from the most popular cities and routes across Ireland, the UK and beyond. We continuously seek to provide the optimum connectivity on key routes for customers, working with our partners. We have ambitious plans to grow and develop this partnership in 2018,” the Managing Director of Stobart Air, Graeme Buchanan, said.
ch-aviation shows the E190s will be deployed into service later this month on the following routes out of London City:
- Milan Linate (5x weekly starting November 16, 2018);
- Rotterdam (2x weekly starting November 16, 2018);
- Berlin Tegel (weekly starting November 17, 2018);
- Dublin International (2x weekly starting November 17, 2018);
- Amsterdam Schiphol (3x weekly November 20 to December 20, 2018);
- Frankfurt International (6x weekly starting November 20, 2018);
- Geneva (10x weekly starting January 31, 2019);
- Rome Fiumicino (weekly starting February 3, 2019).
BA CityFlyer currently operates an in-house fleet of six E170s and sixteen E190s. For its part, given its exposure to the UK market and given the uncertainty surrounding Brexit, Stobart Air has now begun the process of securing a UK AOC through its Stobart Air Services unit.
