Liberty Air (Pakistan) (Lahore International) has been granted a Regular Public Transport License (RPTL) by the Pakistani government. According to the Daily Pakistan newspaper, the licence covers only domestic Pakistani routes.

The start-up is one of six that announced plans to enter the scheduled Pakistani market last year the others being GoGreen Airways, Askari Aviation, United Airways Pakistan, AirSial, and Afeef Zara Airways (which secured its licence in April this year).

As it stands, with the demise of Shaheen Air International, the local Pakistani market is now served by PIA - Pakistan International Airlines, Serene Air, and AirBlue.
