TUI Airways (BY, London Luton) will launch the two maiden intercontinental services from Doncaster/Sheffield, first to Orlando Sanford in 2019 and then to Cancún in 2020.
The leisure specialist will operate both routes with B787-8s. The service to Sanford will launch in May 2019, while flights to Mexico will commence in the Summer 2020 season.
"Adding more choice and flexibility, including the new Cancun and Sanford long-haul routes, demonstrates our commitment to Doncaster Sheffield airport and the local area," Director of Aviation Planning Karen Switzer said.
According to the ch-aviation capacity module, Doncaster/Sheffield currently sees exclusively European services operated by Wizz Air, TUI Airways, and flybe. (2002).
