Shoreline Aviation (1980) (New Haven) has launched a new seaplane base at Naples Municipal to serve destinations across Florida and the Bahamas.
Shoreline Aviation said the base would launch "around Thanksgiving", i.e. November 22, 2018.
The seaplane charter specialist did not announce how many aircraft it will base in Naples. Shoreline Aviation's fleet in total includes ten floats-equipped Cessna (single turboprop) 208 Grand Caravans.
During the summer, Shoreline Aviation operates scheduled and charter flights in the New York area out of New York Skyports SPB to East Hampton Town, New Haven, and other destinations. It also used to run services in the Caribbean out of San Juan Luis Muñoz Marin, St. Croix Henry E. Rohlsen,and St. Thomas Cyril E. King, although these flights have been suspended following the damage caused to the region by the hurricanes in 2017.
