Solomons - Solomon Airlines (IE, Honiara) resumed flights to Suavanao on November 26, 2018, after a two-month gap in the airport's operations due to runway reconstruction.

In September, the airport in the northern part of Santa Isabel island in the Solomon Islands was closed by the authorities due to the poor state of the runway which threatened the safety of airline operations.

Flights to Suavanao from the capital Honiara will operate daily on board DHC-6-300s, some of them via either Fera/Maringe or Sege.

Suavanao has thus become Solomons' twenty-first domestic destination.
