Biman Bangladesh Airlines (BG, Dhaka) has issued a Request For Proposals (RFP) for the dry-lease of two B777-300(ER)s on contracts of at least 60 months. Given the nature of the leases, the aircraft will be added to the Bangladeshi register and operated using Biman's callsign.

According to tender documents seen by ch-aviation, the aircraft should deliver on or before May 31, 2019.

Eligible aircraft should ideally be sisterships featuring General Electric GE 90-115B powerplants with a Maximum Take-Off Weight of 342,462 kilogrammes.

Each aircraft must also be no more than 13 years old as of May 31, 2019. They should preferably have 10,000 hours or 2,000 Flight Cycles or two years (whichever is higher) of life at the time of delivery.

Proposals are due by January 20, 2019.

In terms of widebody operations, Biman currently operates four B777-300(ER)s and two B787-8s (with a further two due to arrive in September 2019).
