ANA - All Nippon Airways (NH, Tokyo Haneda) has announced it will begin commercial A380-800 flight operations from May 24, 2019, onwards.

According to an airline statement, the first incoming A380 will arrive in March 2019. It will then be deployed on the Tokyo Narita-Honolulu route on a 3x weekly basis initially growing to daily from July 1 onwards. ANA's second A380 is expected to start operations in July 2019.

The aircraft will feature 520 seats in total including eight in First Class, 56 in Business Class, 73 in Premium Economy, and 383 in Economy Class of which 70 are ANA COUCHii-branded convertible sofas.

Ticket sales will start on January 10, 2019.

The carrier has three A380s on order from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac); a legacy of parent firm ANA Holdings' takeover of Skymark Airlines (BC, Tokyo Haneda) back in 2015. During the then-bankruptcy proceedings, ANA was able to secure Airbus's support for its Skymark restructuring plan when it agreed to assume the LCC's A380 order.
