Severstal Aircompany (D2, Cherepovets) has taken delivery of its first SSJ 100/95B following the arrival of RA-89117 (msn 95159) in Cherepovets on Wednesday, December 26.

The aircraft, one of a quartet that includes one more -B and two -LR variants, are leased from GTLK - State Transport Leasing. Collectively, the Sukhoi Civil Aircraft twinjets will be used to renew and replace Severstal's current fleet of six CRJ200s and one Yak-40.

Severstal's SuperJets will feature 8 business and 85 economy seats and will enter service in early 2019.

Severstal Aircompany is a subsidiary of namesake Russian steel and mining firm, Severstal. From its base at Cherepovets, it serves 16 cities and towns across Western Russia, Austria, and Georgia.
