Sukhoi Civil Aircraft (Zhukovsky) has announced it has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with start-up carrier KOM Airlines and MRO specialist WishV for six SSJ 100/95s.

A statement said the tentative deal was signed in the presence of Russian Minister of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov, in Bangkok.

The agreement is expected to be firmed during the first half of 2019 and will result in the six jets delivering from 2019 to 2020. The aircraft will be configured with 100 seats and will be used for domestic Thai as well as international flights.

For its part, WishV is in the process of becoming an AMO for SSJ100 planes in Thailand.

The Royal Thai Air Force is the only operator of the SuperJet in Thailand with three -SBJs currently used for VIP operations.
