The Vietnamese National Committee for Management of State Capital (CMSC) has injected VND16.5 billion dongs (USD7.1 million) in Vietnam Airlines (VN, Hanoi Noi Bai International) through the purchase of new shares issued at the stock exchange, the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) has reported.

The state agency responsible for managing state-owned companies has bought 165 million newly issued shares, each priced at VND10,000 (USD0.4). The carrier previously authorised the issuance of over 191 million new shares to raise capital.

No private investors assumed any stock.

The state holding in the carrier currently equals to 86.16% shares.
