Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras (AD, São Paulo Viracopos) has announced it will launch a new route to Aracati, its hundred-fourth domestic destination, on February 19, 2019.
The service will become Aracati's maiden scheduled flight. The airport serves a popular beach resort Canoa Quebrada.
Services from Recife will operate 3x weekly onboard ATR72-600 equipment. On Tuesdays and Thursday, the outbound flight will operate via Mossoró, while on Sundays the stop will be performed on the inbound leg.
Director of Network Planning Daniel Tkacz said in a statement that the new route was a part of a strategy to develop Azul's connecting hub at Recife.
