Ruili Airlines (DR, Kunming Changshui) will launch a new service from Mangshi to Mandalay International on January 31, 2019, ch-aviation schedule analysis has revealed. The service will become Luxi's maiden international connection.

Flights from the airport in southern China near the border with Myanmar will operate 3x weekly with B737-800 equipment.

According to ch-aviation capacity module, Ruili Airlines is already the largest airline present at Luxi with 56 weekly departures and a 33.1% market share by capacity. It operates from Luxi to its main hub at Kunming Changshui, as well as to Chongqing, Lijiang, and Wuhan.

Other carriers serving domestic routes from Luxi are China Eastern Airlines, Lucky Air (China), Kunming Airlines, Tibet Airlines, and Sichuan Airlines.

Mandalay currently sees scheduled flights to eight destinations in China.
