CargoLogic Germany (GCL, Leipzig/Halle) has taken delivery of its first aircraft as part of its ongoing AOC certification drive with the German authorities.

Skyliner Aviation reports B737-400(F) D-ACLG (msn 28867) was ferried from Jacksonville Cecil Field, FL to Leipzig/Halle via Gander and Glasgow Prestwick on January 16/17. It will be followed by sisterships msn 27673 and 25575 the former of which is still undergoing conversion at Kelowna. All three jets will be leased from Vx Capital Partners.

“The arrival of the first plane at its future home base is an important milestone along our journey of launching flight operations here at Leipzig/Halle Airport during spring this year," Managing director, Ulrich Ogiermann, said in a statement. “All the measures required for this from both organisational and operational points of view are proceeding at full speed. We’re therefore involved in a constructive dialogue with the Federal Aviation Office in this regard.”

CargoLogic Germany is also expected to induct at least three An-124s from its parent firm, Russia's Volga-Dnepr Group.
