Norwegian Air International (Dublin International) will not resume its seasonal winter-only services to the Caribbean in the Winter 2019/20 season and will terminate all routes to the market permanently at the end of March 2019, Air Transport World has reported.

"We will withdraw all routes serving the French Caribbean from March 31, 2019. Our strategic focus is transitioning from growth to profitability and, following a review of our French Caribbean services, we have decided to withdraw these operations as they were not financially sustainable," a spokesperson said.

According to the ch-aviation capacity module, Norwegian Air International currently operates from Montréal Trudeau, New York JFK, and Fort Lauderdale International to Fort de France in Martinique and Pointe à Pitre in Guadeloupe. The carrier also flies between each of the French Carribean islands and Cayenne in French Guyana. All services are operated with B737-800 equipment.

Norwegian is the only carrier operating from both Martinique and Guadeloupe to Fort Lauderdale and New York.
