Asia Aviation has announced it has abandoned plans to acquire equity in Nok Air (DD, Bangkok Don Mueang).
In a stock market filing, Asia Aviation's Chief Financial Officer, Santhat Sanguandikul, said only that the firm, which owns 51% of Thai AirAsia, would not "proceed on such matter".
Asia Aviation had earlier been linked to a majority stake in Nok Air through the Jurangkool family which collectively controls around 55% of the airline's share capital.
