Aer Lingus (EI, Dublin International) announced it will postpone the planned launch of the Dublin International-Montréal Trudeau route to summer 2020 due to the delays in deliveries of A321-200neo(LR)s.

The Irish carrier initially planned to start flying to Montreal daily from August 8, 2019.

In July, the airline will also temporarily reduce the frequency of its flights from Dublin to Philadelphia International, Minneapolis St. Paul International, and Hartford Bradley, as well as from Shannon to New York JFK. All of these routes were initially planned as 6x weekly but will initially operate 5x weekly. Currently, all of them are operated on behalf of Aer Lingus by ASL Airlines Ireland (ABR, Dublin International) using B757-200 equipment, which is due to be replaced by the incoming A321neo(LR)s.

ASL Airlines Ireland also flies on behalf of Aer Lingus from Dublin to Washington Dulles and will launch flights from Shannon to Boston on April 18, 2019.

According to the ch-aviation capacity module, Aer Lingus also operates ten routes from Dublin to the United States and another one to Toronto Pearson using its widebody A330-200 and A330-300 aircraft.

Aer Lingus is expecting deliveries of four of nine A321neo(LR)s this year according to an Irish Times report.
