JetAir Caribbean (4J, Curacao) has taken delivery of its first aircraft as it nears the end of its AOC certification drive with the Curaçao Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA).

The first of two Fokker Aircraft due to be placed with the start-up, former KLM cityhopper Fokker 70 PH-KZD (msn 11582) was ferried to Curacao on Thursday, March 21. It will be followed next month by Fokker 70 msn 11585, formerly PK-TNR with TransNusa. This jet will be used as a spare.

A unit of United Caribbean Airlines (Curacao), Jetair Caribbean aims to fil the capacity gap left following InselAir's collapse. It plans to run passenger flights from Curacao to the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Colombia, Trinidad, and Jamaica from April onwards.
