Fiji Airways (FJ, Nadi) says it has resumed a wet-lease contract with Miami Air International (Miami International) after gaining clearance from the Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji (CAAF).

The regulator grounded the Floridian ACMI/charter specialist's B737-800 N739MA (msn 30670) on Sunday, May 5, after sistership N732MA (msn 30618) overran the runway on roll-out at Jacksonville Towers, FL.

"After a series of safety assessments and after receiving clearance for the Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji, Miami Air will resume operating flights on behalf of Fiji Airways from today [May 9]," a company statement said.

According to Flightradar24 ADS-B data, N739MA did indeed resume operations on May 9 plying Fiji Airways' Nadi-Brisbane International and v.v route.
