IndiGo Airlines (6E, Delhi International) continues to study the addition of widebody aircraft but does not plan to place an order in the near future, CEO Ronojoy Dutta told analysts during the quarterly earnings call.

"Are we about to place an order or do we see something happening in the near future? No... We are good at what we are doing and we have no plans to expand into other areas about which we know very little,” Dutta was quoted as saying by The Hindu Business Line.

Dutta was also cautious on potential partnerships with other airlines in the medium- and long-haul market.

The Indian LCC currently operates both narrowbody and regional turboprop aircraft with a fleet encompassing sixteen ATR72-600s, 131 A320-200s, seventy-eight A320-200neo, and five A321-200neo.

In March, the airline had been reported to be in advanced talks with Airbus for up to fifty A330neo.
