The sale has been launched for the first flights to the forthcoming Sälen Airport, currently under construction close to the border between Sweden's largest alpine ski area Sälen and Norway's largest ski resort Trysil and due to open to commercial traffic in the final quarter of 2019.

BRA - Braathens Regional Airlines (Stockholm Bromma), which was announced in May by the airport's operator Scandinavian Mountains AB as the first commercial carrier to serve the airfield, has unveiled the schedules of five routes to the Nordic winter resorts' airport.

Effective December 22, three 1x weekly routes (all on Sundays) will launch to Sälen from Stockholm Bromma, Angelholm/Helsingborg, and Malmö, according to the BRA website. Flight TF1603 will depart Bromma at 1550L, arriving in Sälen at 1655L, while the return flight TF1604 departs at 1745L and lands back in Bromma at 1850L. A second frequency will be added on Thursdays from January 16, departing Sälen at 1120L and departing Stockholm at 1250L.

Flight TF1601 from Angelholm/Helsingborg will depart at 0850L, landing at 1010L. Return flight TF1602 departs Sälen at 1035L, landing at Angelholm/Helsingborg at 1155L. However, like Stockholm, this also rises to 2x weekly, with a second frequency added on Thursdays from January 9 departing at 0850L, later departing Sälen at 1340L.

From Malmö, flight TF1607 departs at 0720L, arriving in Sälen at 0845L, while return flight TF1608 departs SCR at 0915L, arriving at MMX at 1040L.

The other two routes are also on Sundays only, both effective January 26, 2020 and ending on 22 March, 2020. Flight TF1609 will take off from Gothenburg Landvetter at 1410L, arriving at 1525L, turning around in Sälen for a 1915L departure to arrive back in Sweden's second city at 2030L. And from Växjö, flight TF1605 departs at 1650L, while the departure from Sälen is scheduled for 1835L.

The Malmö, Gothenburg, and Växjö routes are effective until March 22, the Stockholm and Angelholm/Helsingborg routes until March 26. ATR72-600 equipment will be used for all routes except for Malmö-Sälen, which will be operated with an ARJ-100.
